Media Malpractice--A Ziegler Update

  • Apr. 2nd, 2009 at 8:19 PM

A while back I made a post about a documentary that John Ziegler was making--"Media Malpractice."  After much anticipation, I finally had the chance (or should I say time?) to sit down and watch it.  It was an excellent documentary....major props to John Ziegler for revealing the media's true color--BLUE--because it is a massive body of liberal enthusiasts!  It revealed a ton of information and enfuriated me even further on how the media attacked Sarah Palin.  I recommend you watch this, especially if you don't share a similar opinion with those of us who believe the media crucified Palin.  Also, it will give you even more reason to believe that FOX NEWS is the best news network out there.  You can check out more info about the documentary at: http://www.howobamagotelected.com/

Gitmo CLOSED?

  • Jan. 23rd, 2009 at 12:04 PM

On Barack Obama's third day as president, he signed 3 Executive Orders. Keeping with his plans to completely recondition the way the United States deals with suspects of terrorist activity, he signed an Exec. Order proclaiming the close of the Guantanamo Bay military prison in Cuba.   Furthermore, he signed orders banning harsh methods of interrogation and calling for the review of the military trials that have been going on.  However, the core of controversy is, by far, the fact that GTMO is being closed.

Now, I'm left asking the same question as many other Americans--Where, on Earth, are we going to send all of the high-danger detainees?

And, many supporters of the decision have provided us with three possible locations to send these terrorist suspects to:

1. We can send them back to their own country or another country that volunteers to take them off our hands(which is very unlikely).
2. We can disperse them to Federal Detention centers throughout the U.S.  This is just what we need--terrorists in the U.S.
 OR
3. We can send them to Pennsylvania!  Yep, the Democratic Representative from Pennsylvania, John Murtha, has volunteered to house all 245 of the detainees in Pennsylvania("I'll take 'em")...because Pennsylvanians totally want to live in close proximity to a couple hundred of the most dangerous people EVER!  In order to take in these prisoners, though, a new correctional facility will be needed in Penn.  Some say that Murtha's idea is just grand because of the many jobs it will open.   Others say that he's volunteering with greed and money on his mind.  You can decide his motives for yourself, but I believe in the latter.

Overall,  let's start  welcoming all of these jihadists into our country!
Anyway...
that's just my political ramblings on the closing of Guantanamo Bay

DRILL, baby, DRILL!

  • Jan. 19th, 2009 at 8:17 PM

Drill, BABY, Drill!

I definitely think that we need to drill the HECK out of the Arctic National Wildlife Rescue(ANWR) in Northeast Alaska. If you really think about it, we would be idiotic for not doing so. I’m right beside Sarah Palin and the Arctic Power organization. There are numerous benefits to drilling in the ANWR.

·         We’d only drill on a 2,000 acre patch of the 1.5 million acre plot of land. To put this into perspective, we’d only be drilling on a slab of land about the size of LAX(according to Palin).

·         It’s way too expensive for us to continue depending on foreign sources of oil. Each year we spend close to one trillion dollars on purchasing oil from other countries.

·         Hundreds of thousands of jobs would be created. With unemployment rates so low, it would be a blessing for many if they could score one of the 200,000 to 735,000 that will be opening if we do drill in the ANWR.

·         The ANWR has an estimated 9 to 16 billion barrels of oil. That’s a LOT of oil!

·         Its effect isn’t all that negative to wildlife living in the tundras of the ANWR. Animals in Alaska are known to coexist with the implements of the oil and gas industry.

·         State and National treasuries would make billions of dollars off of the oil and gas.

·         By drilling, we’d leave only a small footprint.

·         Natives of Alaska approve the drilling for oil. 75% approval rate.

On the other hand, people fear that drilling in the ANWR will further add to global warming and negatively impact polar bears, 200 different bird species, walruses, whales, and caribou. In my opinion, we ought to just go for it. It has been proven before that animals can coexist with the oil industry so I think we should just take a chance, even if some species might possibly be at risk.

Overall,  I declare that we need to Drill here, Drill now, Pay less!

Anyway...

As I enter the world of politics, I have come to learn that people just despise conservatives.  But, I'm lead to question whether liberals are as open-minded as they claim to be.  They constantly tell right-wingers to be "more open-minded."  However, I have found many of them to be close-minded.  If they were so open-minded, wouldn't they accept the fact that we aren't ALL leftists?  I suppose I just have to suck it up if I ever want to survive in the world of politics.

Anyway...
that's just my political ramblings on close-minded liberals.

I LOVE John Ziegler!

  • Jan. 15th, 2009 at 6:17 PM

Basically, John Ziegler is an amazing broadcaster/film-maker/journalist/conservative! I sincerely adore him. Recently, he decided to interview Sarah Palin and make the following documentary:

The video above is merely a clip and when the actual documentary comes out at the end of February, I'm absolutely buying it. The documentary definately puts the abuse Palin and her family got from the media into perspective. As Ziegler says, the media "assasinated Sarah Palin's character." If you go to http://www.howobamagotelected.com/ there is written commentary along with several clips from different news sources. To me, the MSNBC news clips were apalling. The MSNBC news journalists interviewing Ziegler were totally RUDE to him. Multiple times, their liberal bias was absolutely apparent. They continuously made statements that undermined Palin, and they continuously argued with him. Although they were totally outnumbering Ziegler, I give Ziegler MAJOR props for being such an amazing interviewee. He called the news anchor on his many fallacies by proving to the many that he failed to do his "homework," and  by calling him on his bias and support for Obama which was CLEAR AS DAY. Overall, John Ziegler has made my top list of right wing people in the media.

I HIGHLY recommend for you guys to check out Ziegler's website: http://www.howobamagotelected.com/

Environmentalist Loons!

  • Jan. 14th, 2009 at 2:23 AM

The Environmental movement started in the Romantic period (mid 1800s) when George Perkins Marsh, former Vermont congressman said that attention needed to be called “to the destructive impact of human activity on the land, especially through deforestation, and advocating a conservationist approach to the management of forested lands.” From that point on, there has been a landslide of enviro-loons trying to rally for nature.

Personally, I have this attitude kind of like, "Screw nature!"  I'm so insensitive to nature on all levels.  I eat meat, everyday! I especially love steak.  (Heck, i'd love to carry around a beef jerky purse like the one below!)  Also, I'm wasteful.  I love paperplates and put everything in plastic bags.  I also buy makeup, regardless of whether or not it is environmentally friendly.  Finally, I plan on driving a massive gas guzzling vehicle for the rest of my life--I'm not even considering a hybrid.  Overall,  I'm just not that "green."  [the sarcasm was intended to make a point]

Because of my lack of savvy towards the environment, I did a little bit of research to find out about some of the major players in the "Green" Movement.  My research provided me with all the more reason to not be an enviro-loon.  There are several types of environmentalists:
1. Tree sitters
2. No impact men
3. Compacters
4. 100 Mile Diet Folks
5. Vegetarians
6. Etc
All of the environmentalists do the weirdest things!

In the New York Times, there was a No Impact family that was SO STRANGE!  These people didn't use toilet paper--they used bowls of water(and probably air-drying).  They composted their own trash with worms.  Yeah---WIERD--the reporter commented on how it gave the house a strange funk.  Also, they decided that the only money they were going to spend was on organic food(reusable container, no paper or plastic wrappers, etc). The story even said that the dad of the family took like 115 flights of stairs on a daily basis because they refused to use elevators or any other transportation.  Now, that is taking it to the extremes!

Something else wierd is the people who don't use traditional heaters because they add to 'global warming.'  Some of them have been using the Japanese kotatsus to keep warm--AKA  skirted tables with heaters underneath.

Another strange thing is the limitations on everything.  Grist.org basically teaches people how to be ecofriendly.  How to dress ecofriendly, what lipgloss to use, what types of sheet to use, etc.

Even funnier is that they are pushing for Obama to use bailout money to reform the American food system.  Are you kidding me?

What gets me even more is PETA, and I'm not talking about P.eople E.ating T.asty A.nimals!  The folks at PETA are crazy!  Sure, their 'bunny honey' shirts are cute, but they are outrageous.  First of all, they put these graphic pictures all over of like dying KFC chickens.  Then, they push for the renaming of fish to sea kittens.  Yeah, they want fishes to be referred to as "sea kittens."  Why?   Well, they provided  a good answer--"Knowing that the fish sticks in the school cafeteria are really made out of tortured sea kittens makes most kids want to lose their lunch." And, lastly, they save lobsters!  I've never tried lobster, but it's probably pretty delightful to the tastebuds.  And, they proudly rescued some really old lobster named George.  Now, I wonder why it's so important for those lefties to rescue a lobster when they think its fine to kill innocent babies?!  WOW!

Switching notes, what the heck is wrong with environmentalists?  It's clear as day that humans are at the top of the food chain--we CONTROL the food chain.  So, why do enviro-loons think that we are on the same par as the rest of the mammals.  In the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, there is a sign posted which apologetically reads, “humans are treated as more important than other mammals.”  Well, to me, I think it's only obvious that we are more important.  C'mon we are definately the pack leaders!

Finally, I found it pretty retarded that the enviro-loons asked for Senate representation from Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.  They feel that they should get tax breaks because they do less to contribute to global warming--just like people who own hybrids.  Well, I say that we shouldn't give them tax breaks so they realise how extreme they're being, on every level, by trying to protect the environment.

So, this leads me to a proposition.  How 'bout we gather up all of the environmental monsters, and ship them away to some uncharted island without any items made from any type of nature and see how well they survive.  Everything is made using the components of nature--think about it!

Overall, in Genesis 1:38, the Bible says,
"And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."  So, I say that I'm just making the most of my dominion over the life on earth by being "eco-unfriendly."

Anyway,
that's just my political rambling on Environmentalist Loons.

Prayer in Schools

  • Jan. 12th, 2009 at 11:23 PM

Picture from: www.hobbsschools.net/images/photos/meet.jpg
The issue of prayer in schools is ever-present in modern day society.  My views are incredibly simple--the Free Exercise clause of the Constitution clearly permits prayer in schools.  As quoted in the First Amendment of the Constitution, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."  I've underlined the direct spot in the First Amendment where the Founders mentioned free exercise--it says that Congress can't make a law that prohibits free excercise.  Call it narrow interpretation, but I think the barring of prayer in schools is preventing free exercise.

Now, many Americans may wonder about the part that says Congress shouldn't make a law which respects the establishment of a state religion.   By allowing prayer in schools, the state isn't establishing a set religion--they are simply allowing free exercise.

Furthermore, the Founders didn't create a governments sans God.  He was referred to all throughout history by the actions of the government.  I scoured the internet looking for examples of God in the government.
1.  Congress prays before any  of their proceedings.
2.  All money has "In God We Trust" printed on it.
3.  On the back of a $1 bill, just above the pyramid and the all-seeing eye, are the latin words "Annuit Coeptis."  These words mean "God has favored our undertakings."
4.  Moses and the Ten Commandments are displayed throughout the Supreme Court buildings.
5.  Some state mottos reflect God.  Arizona--"God enriches"  Ohio--"With God, all things are possible"  South Dakota--"Under God the people rule."
6.  George Washington once said, "Freedom prospers when religion is vibrant and the rule of law under God is acknowledged. The time has come to turn to God and reassert our trust in Him for the healing of America. Our country is in need of and ready for a spiritual renewal."
7.  Ulysses S. Grant referred to the Bible as "the rock on which our republic rests."
8.  John Adams, a self-proclaimed "church-going animal," said that, "The moral principles and precepts contained in the Scriptures ought to form the basis of all our civil constitutions and laws."
9.  Federal officials and suspects in court are sworn-in by placing their hand over a Bible.
Why should we take God out of the classroom when he is so apparent throughout all other aspects of government?

Lastly, why would the Framers allow the freedom of religion if we weren't allowed to practice our religion?  Wouldn't that be a waste?  As of now, voluntary prayer is allowed.  But, honestly, if i stood up in the middle of my calculus class and started praying, I would probably be reprimanded for it.

Overall, I want God brought back into the class.  I would love huge banners on the walls of classes which clearly declare "IN GOD WE TRUST."  I want the flag salute to be said with the phrase, "One nation, under God."  I want daily prayer to be an option in classes--even if there is just a time set-aside for students to pray individually, in silence. (As Matthew 6:5-6 states, "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.") By making a designated time, it's not forcing Christianity on non-Christian students either.

Anyway...
that's just my political ramblings on Prayer in Schools.
